On 6 August 2008, the 63rd anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, representatives of the society attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony.
The society's president, Nada Caren, and Zlatko Špehar from Vukovar laid a thousand cranes folded by primary school children across Croatia beneath the Sadako Sasaki monument.
