Under the patronage of the President of Croatia, the exhibition came in two parts: the first held in Japan in July 2008, presenting Croatia and the city of Vukovar; the second a caravan of friendship and peace through Split, Zadar, Rijeka and Pula.
The central event was held on 22 October 2008 at the Vukovar city museum, with workshops, a music programme, a mass for peace and paper lanterns set down the river.
